Clearing Browser Cache

Purpose

To resolve website loading, login, or display issues caused by outdated or corrupted browser data.

When to Use

  • Pages do not load correctly

  • Websites show old information

  • Login issues on web applications

  • Errors after a system update

How to Clear Cache

Google Chrome / Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the three-dot menu

  2. Select Settings

  3. Go to Privacy & Security

  4. Click Clear browsing data

  5. Select Cached images and files

  6. Click Clear data

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click Menu

  2. Select Settings

  3. Go to Privacy & Security

  4. Under Cookies and Site Data, click Clear Data

Safari (macOS)

  1. Open Safari Preferences

  2. Go to Privacy

  3. Click Manage Website Data

  4. Select Remove All

  • Clearing cache does not delete bookmarks or saved passwords

  • You may be logged out of some websites
